Default a little help?

k, this is my first time modding anything, so i'd like a little advice. first, i want to paint the motherboard...any tips on what kind of paint i should use? also, i'd like to use a water cooling system- would it be a bad idea to put food coloring in the water or some other dye? i'd be worried about shorting my comp if the system breaks. does anyone know of a dye that is non-conductive? and where can i find a water-cooling system for cheap, or maybe how to make one? just so you know, since i'm sure you're curious, i'm building my own case. gonna hang my computer on the wall...i'll post a pic when it's done. any advice you guys can give me would rock. seems like you're all used to doing this kind of thing. i just want a sexy computer. please help thanks

I dont know about painting the mobo.... seems like a bad idea. If you do, be sure to not get any paint in any connectors (pci, agp, zif socket... etc.) Kind of obvious, but hey, you never know.

Water will short your computer no matter whats in it if it leaks. The only way to prevent shorting would be to soemhow run pure water, and running pure water (even if it was possible, which it really isnt) wouldnt be verry efficient, so you need to run a cooling mix. Asl one of the WC experts around here about mixing.

Water cooling cheap? You could home-brew one... using cheap blocks, a heater core, and a garden pump. You can do it for about $80-100 but it's not going to be as cold as and expensive setup.

Default thanks

thanks for the advice- and it isn't hard to find distilled water, which, by the way, is entirely non-conductive. i didn't know that about the cooling mix- is that what all "water cooling" systems use?
