| Apex Techie I | Okay, I have seen a few mouse fan mods and ive liked the general idea. I know a lot of people dont find them at all practical, but pratcical or not, they are cool. I am having a slight problem, however. I have seen the fans they use and they are all really small fans like northbridge fans or fans from a GPU heatsink. Well, I have 2 12v rated gpu fans, and 1 old cpu heatsink fan. I can get them to run on the 5v molex power, which i understand is a higer amperage, but it dosent even flinch when i put the fan on the power inside the mouse (microsoft optical usb). I was wondering if anyone that has done this knows the brand of their fans, since i havent seen any mods that state the fan brand. Thanks, T | |

| Apex Techie I | Thats the one i was looking at, but i cant find any of those fans online. What i did find were these: http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bi...189&type=store http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bi...163&type=store The first looks most promising, and they both use the same wattage and amperage, i jsut dont know if it will still work inside. oh well, its only 3 bucks. | |
