Default How to use this FREE LCD?

I got to take home a cool LCD today that they were going to throw out

All "D" Batteries! How many?

24 "D" Batteries in each Pack, 48 total!!

For a size reference

Does anyone know how/if this can be used as a PC LCD?

Not sure if it's worth using as a monitor, but you should be able to use as a digital photo frame

It can be used as a monitor. The flash card holds a movie about installing a wireless network, so I know it looks good.

Yeah, but to change the interface from flash card to vga, dvi, s-video, composite etc, is probably bot worth time an money,,,

That was my guess too-- that it was basically photo-frame logic. I wonder if there'd be a "cheat" route, where you could replace the CF card with a link to a PC configured to serve up files that match the frame's expectations for size/name/locations.

Have convinced myself [based on random Goggling] that this is an au-LCD panel that's typically used in the back of car headrests to show the kiddies DVD movies.

Got nothing on the serial number on the front of the LCD itself.

I also seem numerous references on Google about 9 pin-to-15 pin VGA converters. I might not be surprised to find out that a converter and your vid card [at proper res.] would drive it. But of course I don't know for sure.

Gives you a few more places to look perhaps

Maybe S-video in through that connector that looks exactly like a S-video plug? Would suit well with the "car DVD player" hypothesis-- they'd likely use a composite or S-video feed off of the video source.
