Default Heatinks and heatpipes?

So I got this idea for mounting a double fan heatsink, maybe a Cooler Master Gemini II (apparently I cant link cuz I'm too new, but its on their website), to a project I'm thinkin up. Anyways, the real question is, will a heat sink like that work at all or well with fans pushing air up instead. The way I'm tryin to set it up would put 2 120mm fans blowing directly across the motherboard, which would be mounted flat. With the way the case would would work it'd be cool to use those 2 as exhaust fans, but I wouldnt wanna do it at the risk of hurting the processor. Anyways, any thoughts would be appreciated, thx guys.

Yes it'll work, but if they're exhaust fans you'll be pulling the hottest air through your CPU heat sink.

Normally exhaust fans (up blowing) is normally only useful in high flow, high pressure fans, on small heatsinks.

Its a test alot of server side systems have run on them to test effeciency with up or down air flow.
