| A clone!.. Story- I needed a new phone and Twizted suggested I get a wizard wm5 phone so I picked up a cingular 8125. I loved the phone but I found wm5 to be dull and boring. After looking around I saw a few videos on youtube with people who had iphone themes on their wm5 phone. I quickly searched but a good working theme was hard to find. Twizted was also hunting for it when I began looking so long story short, I found a guy who developed a decent theme and via email it became available. The reason it's a hard to find theme is due to apple sueing people who made/distributed it. Before- ![]() AFTER- ![]() and heres a small vid.. | ||

| I only had one bug but that was due to not having Wisbar Advanced Desktop up to date.. other than that its working good... I am still trying to get it workin in Landscape mode but I am not to worried about that since the only time I use it is when I am in a txt message, surfing or watching a movie.. so its all good.. | ||

the landscape mode only doesn't work when your on the desktop. Works in everything else. So I don't think it'll ever bother me. Next i'ma try that keyboard skin. Have you tried it? I love that call button on the front screen that shows the pics of your calls. god i love this phone now.

| Yea the 8125 is like 60$ for me to switch from my old AT&T plan over to the cingular, which is soon to be AT&T again... Yea im a slow one with plans, but i still pay 39.99 a month for 1100 minutes OWNED. On the other hand i didnt see the 8525, but i'll look into it. so the 8125 has a stylus? thats a feature i didnt notice in the list. Kewl | ||

| I got a 8125, finally. I found this pretty awesome app that automatically finds and connects to wifi networks nearby (unsecured that is), as well as it will automatically connect to the stronger wifi as soon as it finds another, thus, giving you (in a heavy population of wifi) the strogest free connection. I though that was pretty sweet, figured i'd share it with you guys. Devicescape – Connect all your wi-fi devices to any hotspot or wifi network – automatically! check out this site for more useful applications. (by the way, the 8125 is really a HTC Wizard as well as teh DA from t-mobile.) 8125 Applications - htc | ||

| Thanks for the links s1ugh34d. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my wifi to work. I unlocked my 8125 to work on t-mobile and from what i've read, by doing so you lose features. One of them being the wifi. But they can be restored just havn't searched for a solution. | ||

| What you probably want to do is get a ROM from a T-Mobile or research if that would work.. If it would, it would essentially treat your 8125 as a MDA and allow it to customize to T-Mobile.... BTW for the record its also known as a K-Jam, 8100, and the P4300 Just as mine is a HTC TyTN which is also the 8525, JasJam, or Hermes ![]() | ||

| Well I finally got the internets on my 8125. So I've been tweaking out the phone for browsing the net. Besides battery life while browsing, everything was alright except for Pocket Internet Explorer. So I downloaded Opera mini after using my cousins blackberry with it, bam lighting fast, easier to view pages(especially pcapex). I got a nice rss feeder for my today screen, got google maps as my new navigation (just wish it was within 100 meters not 1200). But I found links still opened in PIE, downloads were redirected from OM to PIE, and I couldn't make a shortcut for OM anywhere. Then I found a blog post about jbed and opera mini as a default browser. Bam life got a whole lot easier. Besides now having a great way to keep up with apex, I've also come up with a bunch of great programs for really any WM PPC. So here they are: 1. Omapclock - overclocking from a GUI can't get any better than this. 2. Spb pocket plus - the single best app for a PPC, organizing and desktop icons 3. Opera mini and Ominvokeandpaste - the only way to browse the web (its like having an iphone safari browser for windows) 4. Pocketgnuboy - gameboy emulator, open source, hours of fun 5. lextionary - pocket dictionary, thesarus easy to use and used alot for every "I cant think of this word," or "What does that mean." 6. Esmertec jbed MIDlet manager - the best java app out, not only for using gmail, or OM, but for anything java. 7. pRSSreader - today screen RSS feed, got my whole iGoogle Rssed to my phone. 8. projectION digital clock - clock for your today screen. 9. Sprite Space Detective - helps you keep track a data usage and big files, as well as a great backup solution. 10. flashlite and flash activeX - flash for you phone take that sidekick fans. 11. Wififofum - wifi finder great for the unbroadcasted wifi networks. 12. Google maps - handheld navigatio and maps. nice for when guys never get lost. I have ten or more left but I tried to go in order of nessesity. When I get to a real PC I'll get the links for each one and or attach them on this post(only the opensource ones of course.)
