Does RAM get any cooler than this?

This stuff from Corsair, is selling for $383 a gig and it looks like this.

The kicker...and I have yet to see a picture, is that it has 18 imbedded LED lights to indicate RAM load and activity. Look how tall it is!

Im going to try to find a pic of it in action. Please, let the LED's be a cool color and not amber.

I don't particularly like it. The activity lights seem like they would be out-of-place in most modded cases (which are the only ones where there would be a need for activity lights in the first place)...except maybe for the few people who have a yellow/green/red color scheme.

I also don't like blinking lights anyway....too distracting. I think it would just look stupid...another toy for the biohazard-loving noobs.....uunless you were to swap out the LED's in the RAM to look cool.

i was thinking of changin them all too superbright blue

my guess is that it will be one hell of a hard solder

i like the idea of swapping out the LED's, I would make them green and then straight to red, almost like on an amplifier.

Its nice ram but I couldnt deal with the leds. The reflection of my nic card led alone drove me nuts till I blacked it out- No blinking lights for me.

I wonder if a company will release RAM coolers with those LED's on it. I'm sure it's bound to happen. But how soon?

maybe you're full of crap! Maybe it's to cool for you instead of the other way around!
you can get the 512mb model from Monarch for $150 or so and it's pretty fast ram., the LED's are just icing.
