Quick Ideas From my Warrped Brain...

1) Try to restore your Internet Settings

Next try...

2) Repair Internet Explorer

Next try...

3) Restore previous version and then upgrade back

Make sure you uninstalled the program that messed with your IE.

You might want to look at the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\Restrictions registry key first & see if there's a "NoBrowserOptions" value, & delete it if there is.

Damn...I'm not at work and don't have a machine here to compare. I know there is a reg setting, another thing is to "Start, Run, type GPEDIT.MSC" and look for the security setting that prohibits the changing of your homepage.

Wish I could help you more.

check the task manager for anything out of the ordinary...
also check your add/remove programs utility, some of those pages install programs to keep your browser set the way they want.

Your welcome...I could have given you the exact area to look, but I'm not at work where I have a Win 2K machine. Glad you found it and glad it worked.
