Corsair man, there is no other. but i am biased as i own XMS3200 TWINX. Crucial is good memory, i use it in lower end systems at work but in my own high end box, i am corsair all the way, if i could change the memory on my 9700 to corsair.....i would IMHO

No offense bro, but read the specs. Corsair is running at 2.5 lat, the crucial ram is at 3.0. Plus the corsair is cheaper but a buck or so.

Now, if you don't know what the cas lat is, then I apalogize and can emplaine it to you, but in short, the lower the number the better.

Hell, in my old system, I held off on my FSB oc a little to run my ram timings tighter, I found I got better performance with the tighter timings.
Some of the other pimps might have more insight on that, but to answer your question definatly get the corsair.

well i dont know what the lat is so it would be nice if you explained that and between those to prices i dont really mind paying more for whatever is better cause there not bad prices so if you explain that and stuff and just give me some feedback of what you'd go with between the two, money not a problem, and i dont no about oem, i did not think that memory came with additional software or acc. anyways, never did for me...

CAS Latency:
"This controls the time delay (in clock cycles - CLKs) that passes before the SDRAM starts to carry out a read command after receiving it. This also determines the number of CLKs for the completion of the first part of a burst transfer. In other words, the lower the latency, the faster the transaction. Note that some SDRAM modules may not be able to handle the lower latency and will become unstable and lose data. Therefore, set the SDRAM CAS Latency Time to 2 for optimal performance if possible but increase it to 3 if your system becomes unstable. Interestingly, increasing the CAS latency time does have an advantage in that it will enable the SDRAM to run at a higher clockspeed, thereby giving you an edge in overclocking your system. So, if you hit a snag while overclocking, try increasing the CAS latency time."

Corsair hands down. They don't come with additional software. What makes 1 RAM better than another is its stability and overclockability.

In this case it means you wont get fancy packaging. Sometimes the premium stuff is non OEM but since they each give you the specs of what your buying its ok.

If money isn't an issue, I would suggest you get this model of corsair mem instead.

CORSAIR MEMORY XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, (Twin Pack) 512MB(2 x 256MB) 2x(32MX64) TWINX512-3200C2 With Heat Spreaders.Retail
Specifications:
Speed 400 MHz
Organization 2 x 32M x 64
CAS Latency 2-3-3-6-T1
Memory type DDR
Part number: TWINX512-3200C2 Model#: TWINX512-3200C2 Special Free FedEx

I am assuming you are running a dual channel mobo, if you arn't I would still get it for scalability.

i have that mem listed above, my timings are 2-2-2-6-T1, and right now it is running at a speed of 420 @ 2.9 volts, my memory scores in PCMARK2002 are 6566. run that memory with as much voltage as you can. it just runs better.

mine is OC'd now, but if you are going to go Intel i would get some 3700 or some OCZ 4000. i have used both on intel systems and they OC the best, but be prepared to pay for them, because if you are goin with the is7 you are going to go out of the 3200's usable OC range very soon.

Hey, I've read that some of the newer Gigabyte boards have problems running Corsair. Is this true?
