TV Tuner!

Have any of you pimps had any luck with tv tuners? I really need one that works well so I can watch TV on my monitor at college.

I had a $150 Hauppage card that died after 2 days before, so then I tried the ATI TV Wonder VE, and it kept wrecking my windows install and causing random memory errors and such. It took me like 15 reformats and many many hours to figure that the tuner was the prob. So i took it back and got a Viewsonic external unit, the TV looks great, but the regular output to the LCD monitor looks like **** (might be the very skinny signal cable)

I am using the MSI tv@anywhere master. I've had for about a month now. I really like it. Plus it comes with a remote!

I just got the Hauppage TV/FM Radio PCI, because it was cheap and had stereo sound. It works fine for me, and only $79 at Gateway.

Does anybody have one other than the ATI card that allows you to see the listings in your area and schedule the recording? Kinda like TIVO.

I had the ATI one also, and I loved it (when it would work). It never decoded the signal correctly. It seems many many people that had NVIDIA cards with the ATI tv tuner could never get the cable to decode. Its all a conspiracy.

Neo, I think I will be returning it to Best Buy. It was 130 with a 30 buck rebate.

I'll look into the MSI, and think about trying Hauppage again.....

Has anyone used TV tuners?
