Default No sound?

Ok well i finally got my PC going again after working out it was a stick of ram that had failed on me,i've reinstalled XP since i was having troubles with the PC before(Viruses)
I've now got no sound, windows didnt pick up the sound on the reinsall, under the sounds part on the device manager it picks up everything fine,But i have these two things under "Other" They are Multimedia Audio and Raid Controller,None of them are currenty working because of some error,I've try'd finding a new driver for them both but couldnt find any on the PC,Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks Nick

Are you referring to remarks in the Device Manager when you mention Multimedia Audio and Raid Controller or just pop-up errors?
Otherwise, here is a link I found that may help.

Sorry about the bad luck. Sounds like the video died. I'd check the fan 1st.
As for the audio. When you get your video fixed. Check your Bios to make sure
the audio is enabled if your using the built-in audio. You didn't list your mobo
or other hardware so I'm guessing. Most people have realtek audio so here's
a driver download link for you.
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True
As for the Raid, if your not using it, disable it in the Bios and it will go away.

Ouch! Yeah, definately get your video problem worked out first (sounds like the card overheated by first impression).

Slaymate: His mobo is listed in his profile.

Hmmm. I didn't look. But if you looked at mine I'm sure it's obsolete now :-)
I'll update mine in a few.
