| I recently got a 120gb WD HDD from a friend who had it in a raid config. I downloaded the western digital software and did a full format (wrote all 0's) and when I plug it in as a slave drive (to be used as secondary storage) it halts on bootup because it's still searching for the raid software. My question is, does anybody know any software that can completley wipe this drive? There's tons of bogus looking software I've seen, but all I have tried is partition magic 8. | ||

| thanks for the replies guys, but killdisk did not work either. I tried partition magic 7 and 8 (deleting all partitions) but this drive is almost not worth the time for extra storage. it seems the raid software used on the drive was "mediashield". | ||
