Ghosting via USB External drive ?/

Subject says all , is it possible to ghost a drive using an external USB enclosure ?? just wondering if anyone has tryed it, I'm not needing to do it now but it would be handy in my line of work.

Should be, most external drives or enclosures come with software for backups. Mine has a button for one touch backups if you set it up with the software.

I took an image (to my USB disk) of my dad's PC after I had installed the OS, drivers, updates and apps
I was using Ghost 9 - it will only let you do it to removable disks with a manual backup - automatic (scheduled) backups have to be done to a local disk

But yeah - you'll be able to do it - Ghost will detect the drive like a DC/DVD drive

Cool, thanks for the info guys. This will save me alot of time with data transfer when installing new drives and such. and ghosting OS's for server set-ups
