4 sticks of ram?

I have 1gb (2x512) of Corsair Value Select ddr pc3200, I put on some Vantec ram heatspreaders on them. A friend of mine said if I upgrade to 2gb it will help the fps studder I get when dozens of new people enter my clip range when I'm pvping in the rpg I play. Would it to wise to get another exact kit of ram+heatspreaders and be running 2gb (4x512)?

It depends...

If you want the blazing-est speeds from your memory (ie: overclocking), I seem to recall the tendency is for boards that can take four sticks to operate in 2T, which is just a bit slower than 1T.

To run at 1T, if I recall correctly, you'll need to have 2 sticks of 1GB each.

Yup... it's often a bit more difficult to hold those "tight timings" when one uses 4 sticks instead of 2
in dual channel mode... perhaps selling them & going for 2x 1gb is your best choice.
