i would check all your power cables and any cables that connect to the motherboard, and make sure you have everything connected right and all tightly put together first may have a lose cable.

Double-check the heatsink on the processor, if you took it off during the transplant, it may be just loose enough to cause a temperature shutdown...

Darn i forgot to mention that too ,nicely pointed out GrandpaNoob72, along with anything else that could have came lose with any movement of transplanting your parts into your new case. Double check everything there is a lot of parts that can come lose from moving all your components from one case to a other.

If none of the above fixes the prob. unplug everything but the HDD and board, see if it works then add one thing at a time and you at least narrow down the offending piece of hardware or you'll fix the problem due to reconnecting everything again.

is/was this system as listed above running in another case ??
are ANY of the parts new to this system I.E. PSU ???
did you add anything in the transfer like another optical drive more fans or???

Or check for grounding, make sure the mobo is mounted correctly.

Go through the usual check list, (take everything off the mobo except cpu and Heatsink) and go from there.

Make sure ur cables are in the right slots, HD cable in floppy etc., and make sure HD is on primary.

this sounds almost exactly like the system shutting itself down because your motherboard isnt detecting a cpu fan plugged into its fan header...

i had a similar problem (would get to a windows desktop and shut down almost immediately), and all i did was what i detailed above, worked perfectly every since...

try this...

either:
- if you are POSITIVE your cpu fan is running (look at it), do everything you can to get into the BIOS and disable anything indicating "shutdown on cpu fan fail"....

or;
-try plugging your cpu fan into different headers on your motherboard (the one closest to your cpu socket is usually the culprit, as it is the one that usually causes problems if a fan isnt plugged into it)...

this problem is particularly common in systems with high performance cpu fans that require more juice than a 12v fan header can provide (instead, plugs into a standard molex connector)...

another thing could be your the thermal protection on your motherboard is set wayyy too low, or your temps are genuinely wayy too high...you should be able to see if its your temps in your system monitor in your BIOS, and if your temps are ok (high 30s - low 50s) then i would take a long look at your thermal protection settings, your system should be set to "shut down" at a cpu temp approaching 65 to 70C...i would set the warning temperature to 5 degrees lower than your shut down temperature...

another thing, after doing ALL of the above and confirming that temps arent the problem, try raising the voltages of your cpu, chipset, and memory (if available) by one bump (smallest increment, usually 1 tenth of a volt or so)...your hardware might just need a little extra juice, particularly if your power supply isnt of the greatest quality...

Ok, I check all the components to make sure they were all connected good. I found a few of them were a little loose, one of them was the video card and the heat sink was a little loose as well. I just pushed down the video card some till it snaped, then turned the computer on and it booted up fine. Thanks again to the people here at pimprig, keep doing ya thang fellas.
