Default Computer wont detect new RAM

I want to put this on my computer

but the computer wont detect it for some reason and I cannot figure out why
tell me why

edit::wait a moment voltage of old one is 2.5 and new one is 2.7 is that why?
how do I fix it?



here is some general information of the computer in its current state

the computer itsself has no model number as I put it together myself as for the motherboard's I dont know , cant find it and I cant remember

Go there and download CPU Z. Then open the program click on MainBoard. Does it have a model number? Post a screen shot too.

BUMMER! Been there before!

Some boards get rather picky when you mix different ram sticks - I'm guessing that you have 2 different brands of RAM in there now - try swapping the ram around the slots, if that doesn't work, I'd suggest either returning the ram or buying more of the same as the one above

Wow, Never heard of that company before..

Now first, Get something more name brandish for ram, such as cosair or kingston. They all go for around that price.

Second, Is this your mother board?(by the looks of it)

Im going to say (yes after all that) The mem stick could be bad.

EDIT Yea, that too, some mobos can be picky on what ram they take.

I tryed that as well as onley haveing one in at a time

I currentley have 2 differint brands of ram that work just fine
witch is the
hynix HYMD11645B8-H and this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820161615

so could it be the voltage thing I mentioned before?
perhaps its a 1gb ram issue?

I clearley dont know

edit: me an Nerdz posted at the same time

emathines motherboard? wtf? I got it cause it was the cheapest motherboard I could get at the time that could do what I need
