| I have a 30 GB creative zen Xtra jukebox for my mp3 player...and now i have literally loved it to death. That is to say i have loved the screen to death. the player still works and all the controls still work, even the blue backlight still works, the screen just doesnt show anything. (sucks becauses it makes my zen into a massive 30gb ipod shuffle in theory...and who wants that?) does anybody know anything about this type of display? (stupid question i know...this is pimprig...) how can i tell if its busted or just not connected right anymore?(i am not very easy on it) and if its toast, where can i get a new one/is that even possible? I have some picts here, and before you flame me...of course the warrenty was already expired before i got out the jewler's scredriver... ![]() ![]() ![]() as for if i can fix it...im going to buy a new 60Gb laptop harddisk and plug that bad boy in to double my storage for a fraction of the cost...excellent...and maybe make a P[][]\/[]P new enclosure for it...make it my own. ![]() ![]() | ||

| I would suggest contacting Creative and seeing if you can get them to fix it... just don't tell them you took it apart or they might not accept it. Even though the warranty is expired, they might still fix it for a nominal fee. I doubt taking it anywhere else would yield any results, as the display is probably a design specific display and buying a replacement may be pretty much impossible. | ||
