Default Is 300w Enough?

Would a 300w Seasonic be enough to power a SKT 939 Athlon 3200, a PCI-E GeForce 6200 TurboCache, a 300GB Sata, 2GB DDR400, an Audigy 2 and a DVD-RW?

Cheers.

No.not unless your willing to take the chance it'll give out and take some of your hardware with it.basically what im saying is you need some headroom and a 300 just isnt enough .it might "work" but you will be straining it past the recomended 80% -85% max load.

Theoretically, yes. However, I wouldn't run a modern PC with less than 400W and actually, my lowest wattage PSU right now is 500W. You always want a little bit of overhead.

Most computers (even fairly high end ones) only use 200-250W, so technically yes that would be enough as long is the power is distributed among the rails properly for your system. But if it was me buying, I'd be looking at a 380 or 400W PSU with a single +12 rail and 25 or more Amps on the +12 rail like the Zippy HG2 series..

.bh.
