Default Hard Drive Chatter

Within the last three months I decided to build my first computer, and after ordering the parts and assembling it, I noticed that my hard drive started chattering. The model is a 80GBSATA Seagate Barracuda. It doesn't chatter when the system is idle, but when I open, lets say, iTunes, it chatters like crazy for ten seconds and then stops. The seek times are terrible. (and I do defragment regularly) To give you an idea about how loud it is, I have to have my TV turned on volume setting 'twenty' to be able to hear it. I've got a warranty on it so I can return it to Newegg at anytime (and Norton Ghost), but is this chattering something I shoud be concerned about?

Specs:

Case: Thermaltake Tsunami Dream
Power Supply: Aspire 520W
Motherboard: Chaintech VNF4/Ultra
CPU: Socket 939 AMD Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2.5GHz
CPU Cooler: Zalman 7700CU with Arctic Silver 5
GPU: eVGA 6600GT PCI-E @ 570 core/1200 memory
GPU Cooler: Zalman VF700LEDCU with Arctic Silver 5
Memory: 4x512MB Corsair Value Select @ 415MHz DDR with 2.5-3-3-3-1T timings
HDD: 80GB SATA Seagate Barracuda
DVD Burner: NEC Dual-Layer 16+/-RW

RMA. It's probably about to die. Check the S.M.A.R.T. status if you have had it enabled.
