As long as you've got a
DVI output on your graphics card, you should use the
DVI input on your LCD. Analog-
DVI does you no good, since it's still just an analog signal being run through a
DVI input.
Essentially, the image a graphics card generates is a digital one. Always has been. We just didn't have digital interfaces to send images, so we used analog interfaces, which means that any graphics card using an analog (15-pin) connector is downgrading the digital image to an analog image before it gets put up on a display. Digital-digital connections don't require the analog downgrade that has historically been used, so you get a crisper picture. It's that simple.
