i say if yer ram is better than mine....then yeh, its brutal....for me

jk

if it works, then it works, i dont know if yer ram clock is independent of your system clock, but if it isnt, you might just yield more overall performance by easing off on the CAS timings and juicing up yer system clock, but thats ONLY if the ram and system clocks are synchronous....if they are NOT synchronous, and are completely independent of each other, then they must have never talked to Dr. Phil....

Chiquita - Some people think; "I'll use PC3500 DDR and clock it @ 333MHz with super low timings" Well thats a somewhat logical idea but the problem is, lower operating speed wont compensate to run lower timings, not very much anyway. I trailed off there, anyway what ram brand/model is it and what are the timings it was meant to be run at? How many sticks?

I was just wondering, is there an app that would allow you to find out the ram timings of your current ram?

Kingston is rated at cas 2 3-6-3 and 2T command rate for 166.

You might be able to get more agressive timings upping the voltage a bit if you have that option.

I can run the same agressive timings at 185 that I do at 166 if I take the ram voltage up. Most boards will give you the option to run at 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8. My Dragon board had an undocumented pin setting for 2.9. 2.8 is still within spec for Corsair ram, I don't know about the Kingston.
