| i would suggest staying away from Dlink wireless. i had that and it sucked big time. first time i got it and set it up it worked great, the next day it didnt. i dun know y but it just didnt, even the dlink people didnt know. so reinstalled everything and it worked great for a day, then stopped working again, so i returned it for normal netwokring router. i think BA is trying to say when u get a wireless router be sure it has normal wired plugs in the back so you can do both. | ||

| I've had some good experiences with Linksys routers. As far as DLink goes, I've never used any of their products except for the wireless card on my notebook. That has worked flawlessly so far *knocks on wood* But I would also suggest getting a router with extra LAN ports, just in case. I've worked with several Linksys Wireless Routers, and they've worked great up at school and up at work. | ||

| Thats the one i got BA. Did you have to update the firware when u got it? u running cable or dsl? when i got the Dl-604 i had to update the firware, so im thinking maybe i had to update the firmware, but Dlink never said n e thing when i talked to them. I would say go with USR good stuff never can go wrong with them, if your looking to spend a little more | ||

| Sorry Harry Bush, but I never noticed the second part of your question. if you buy D-Link, to get the most performance out of the Texas Instruments chip it uses, you must use their cards. Again, I was able to move two of my rigs upstairs without running cable, and still have the networked laser printer, my rig, and a laptop hardwire connected to the router downstairs. Very nice. | ||
