| Hello My friend just gave me a way old, 150W AT PSU he pulled form a 386 awhile ago, and it sat in his atic for some time. So I plug it on, turn it on, and it can barely turn its own internal fan...hmm...ok so it needs a new fan i thought. But I then go and plug in an 80MM and it could barely start it. Maybe 200RPM once it got going. I tried different connectors and grounded it by putting it on the bottom of my steel case. Any ideas why this thing is puting out low power? Any help is appriciated. | ||

| check the outputs with a multimeter and if they are below normal then the cal settings are off. probably old caps or pots that are off. at worse its a dead regulator (if its a cheap kind) or some other dead part. it is more than 13 years old so it might have met its time. | ||
