Question about freaky PSU

Hello

My friend just gave me a way old, 150W AT PSU he pulled form a 386 awhile ago, and it sat in his atic for some time. So I plug it on, turn it on, and it can barely turn its own internal fan...hmm...ok so it needs a new fan i thought.

But I then go and plug in an 80MM and it could barely start it. Maybe 200RPM once it got going.

I tried different connectors and grounded it by putting it on the bottom of my steel case. Any ideas why this thing is puting out low power? Any help is appriciated.

check the outputs with a multimeter and if they are below normal then the cal settings are off. probably old caps or pots that are off. at worse its a dead regulator (if its a cheap kind) or some other dead part. it is more than 13 years old so it might have met its time.
