Is there a difference between DDR RAM and DDR SDRAM?

My friend in computer graphics class tells me there is a difference between DDR RAM and DDR SDRAM. I always thought they were one in the same. He printed out this article and tells me that it proves it. So who's right?

i have read the article and could you tell him to point to the exact point here he thinks this article proves him right

though i can understand why he would think they are two things, since they are different names. but he's wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong

oh and tell him to read the first three lines out loud and if he still thinks he's right, then he must have smoked his socks or something.

They are the same thing and the author of the article should probably be a little more consistant with his terminology.

tell your friend to find some high speed 72 pin DDR SDRAM since its the fastest on the block, and shove it into his mobo any way he can since the performance increase is amazing, ill even send you some of this "amazing" ram to give to your riend, just make sure he is either drunk or gullible...or both...
