You will have to make sure the Sata drives are registered with the OS first. Now here is where it gets tricky depending upon chipset... I would boot to the Sata drive using the XP CD and hitting F6 to install the driver, then create the windows partition and format it. Then before you install the OS reboot and boot into Ghost. Then copy the drive image over and try to boot.

Honestly, I have never had good luck changing drive interfaces. You are changing a whole lot of stuff when you do that. I now do a clean boot and restore an image of my data only, and reinstall all the apps. Of course, all the hard to find apps are backed up on the image.

BA, won't he have problems with the drive letters and how they have been assigned to the specific drives.
From reading through this it confused me cause won't he have all of his hard drives in the system before he Ghosts it?? So the SATA drives would not be drive C:. Normally that wouldn't be a problem on a fresh install, but wouldn't this cause problems cause he is ghosting drive c: to another drive and windows will look to drive c: for everything instead of the new drive??

That can be adjusted in Windows. What I do is unplug the power from all other drives first, that way it is always picked up as C.

Stereo, yes. I have foregone RAID for a single SATA right now. Sounds like your driver isn't correct.
