Anything involving wireless or internet or networking and my Linksys WMP54G? its a wireless G PCI adapter is acting Elton John gay. I start and it hangs anytime it tries to do anythign network or internet related with this card. was working fine and it has been doing this ever since I installed an iceberq 4 on the NB. the card is seated, I did all the noob stuff yada yada yada need a []D [] []\/[] []D's help on this one.

All the other wireless machines in the house are working fine.

What the hell it just fixed itself. How messed up is that.

That's usually how my networking problems are solved.

if the problem is the hardware itself not showing up, i dont know what to tell you...

if the problem is connectivity issues, all i can tell you is this...

dont let the router or modem's DHCP assign anything...

use something like this

IP Adress: 192.168.0.1XX (x = whatever)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1 (this varies, check your current connection to see what this # actually is)

Primary DNS: 4.2.2.1
Alternate DNS: 4.2.2.2

once you have done that, reconnect to the access point, or modem, or whatever, and then open a command prompt, use the "ipconfig /flushdns, /release, /renew" commands to get everything back in order...

I wished I could access the damn router but my parents are nazis and won't let me change any settings. unlike them i actually want to do something with my computer.

I have reconfigured my entire network, it's a Windows problem. I'm now trying to connect through the GBe on the DFI and still no good.

This is really pissing me off. I haven't gamed all day because of this.

are you running service pak 2 by chance?
