Default At Psu

Some of you may remember that huge AT full tower that I recently acquired. It came with a gigantic AT psu that I didn't test before I bought (I wanted the case, not the contents).

Anyhow, today I decided to test it as it would be handy for testing LED arrays, fan buses etc.

When you plug it in and flip the switch the PSU fan twitches, starts to turn and then dies. Just to ensure that it wasn't just a faulty PSU fan giving the illusion of a busted PSU, I hooked up another fan via molex ........ again, starts to spin and then dies.

I am 98% sure this dinosaur is extinct, anyone with any last ditch thoughts?

This is really off the wall, but you have nothing to lose. I used to have a old AT PSU that you would flip the switch, it would go for like 2-3 seconds then shut off. So, what you had to do was flip the switch off, unplug it, then plug it back in and turn it on and it worked. Kinda weird, but it worked for years, and now the little b@stard betrays me when I need it most.
Hope this helps some.
