Default Sometimes brand names aren't better...

I bought a Linksys G router and Linksys 802.11g card. This combo was nothing but a pain in my arse. The router software wouldn't recognize the Linksys card, and when it was working it would only work if I broadcasted my SSID....not to mention a crappy signal and disconnects and I live in a 1BR apartment.

I paid $75 for the card at Best Buy and returned it. I buy a $25 Zonet Wireless G card that supports the same protocols of NewEgg. The chipset is the Realtek chipset and I've always had good luck with Realtek network hardware.

I install the drivers, enter my WEP key, turn off broadcast SSID and my new $25 Zonet card ( turned the Linkysys router back in too) picked it up off my Belkin router and I have had zero problems.

yeah i've had problems with my linksys wireless g router as well. my cousin bought the same model and it flakes out a lot. connection cuts in and out and we're not even using the wireless currently.

my cousin borrowed the linksys wireless b router that i bought a couple of years ago and that works great. don't know why the newer one is bad . ..

I had huge issues with Linksys wireless G stuff. After trying three NICs and two routers .......... I bought DLink and was running in ten minutes with virtually no problems since.

Must be just the luck of the draw.... I have had a wireless G router for over a year and have had no issues at all.

My Linksys Wireless-G was good till I killed it but I didnt use the wireless a whole lot. Got a NetGear now and I'd have to say I'm pretty happy with it.

I myself have had a Linksys G router and Linksys G wireless card for around 2 years now and have really no problems on my computer and also the connection between my router and laptop (w/ a built in wireless card). Now as for the computer I built for my parents recently I can't get the perfectly good Linksys wireless card to function on there at all, go figure.
