Default psu help

k well here goes, for about 5 days now ive been having problems with my comp.. it just randomly restarts.. i figured it was heat but it was running at 54c.. ive seen my chip run fine at 70c so it wasnt that.. well i got my cpu voltage at 1.825.. but i checked and it was running 1.65.. so i figured hmm.. cheap psu ill unplug some things to give more voltage to my cpu since cheap psus share voltages, so i took out a fan then it ran fine it was running at 1.8... so i go play farcry.. it restarts.. i check when i reboot it and its at 1.65 again.. could this be causing my restart problems ? i have another cheap psu in my closet.. but i check the papers on it and the other one runs at alot higher amps ? would this make it less cheaper ?

Hmm..spent a bunch of money on a rig, threw in a cheap power supply and you wonder why it crashes when Overclocked...

Have you ever compared in your hands a high end power supply to a Generic? The generic is going to feel light as a feather, they don't use heavy duty heatsinks inside, plus they cheap out on EVERY component inside.

Get a 400-550 watt from Antec if you can afford it, or Fortran if you want to save a few bucks but not skimp on quality.
