Default Monitor Display Problem

I was working on someone's computer, finished and unplugged my monitor from their system after shutting it down. A few minutes later I plug the monitor back into my system, and now it displays NO red. Every color is washed out, as though the red portion of the tube no longer works. The display is totally washed out. I've messed with the cable, jiggling it, plugging it back in, etc, but nothing worked. Any suggestions? I'll probably be getting a new monitor soon, but in the mean time I'd like to get this one fixed. Its an HP Pavilion branded 17" monitor.

I checked the pins, none are bent. I tried the monitor with another system and it displayed reds fine, which worries me that I did something to **** up my video card (Gainward Geforce 3). Could I have done seomthing? Please help!

Try taking out the suspected Geforce and plugging it in to the system that works, it does sound like its the GFX card but this will make sure.

I called Gainward, and they told me to RMA them the card and that it was defective. Good news: I'll get my video card fixed for only the cost of shipping. Bad news: I have to wait without my computer until I get my card back.
