I got a brand new Compaq Evo N100v notebook my silly question is do you leave the battery in the notebook when it's full charged? BTW I got a killer deal on this machine it was $1000! P4 2gig 20gig HD 256DDR memory Ati 32 mob. 7500 14.1monitor DVD/CDROM. It rules!

Just do me a favor...do us all a favor.....dont leave the thing on all day long and **** like that when yuor not using it....Notebooks arnt meant to be on like a desktop computer...if your MB dies....you are screwed ....bigtime dont leave it on the bed when its running ...or anywhere else that might hinder the alreadt limited cooling capabilities, thats one sweet machine you have. As far as the battery, it shouldnt hurt it when its in, its no different than a Palm Pilot Lithium battery and those batteries are not removeable unless you open up the back, if that were an issue i would have to say they would have made them removeable. I dont see how leaving the battery in could damage it.
Lets hear what some of the pros think though to be sure though

yeah. old p2-200mhz's used NiMH batteries...everything now is nothing less than a Li-Ion..once the battery is full, it turns off needing to be charged...very simple process....ill leave my hp plugged in for a couple days at a time...doesnt even get warm or anything....
