CD-R(W) Slot drive

Does anyone know of a good silver cd-r or rw slot cd-drive? I'm looking for one just cuz I think slot drives are cool, but I couldn't find any.

They "look" cool but I've only heard btales of woe after people have had 'em for a while. Three friends, one's boyfriend inserted a business card CD and physically killed her DVD drive. The next had a CD get loose from the spindle, took to a repair shop and paid 80 bucks to get the disk out (the drive does still work, though he gets amusingly nervous everytime he puts one in). And the third had a CD-RW get stuck after burning (brought it to me to fix... I gotta start playing dumb).

Personally, I have had a couple problems with the loading mechanisms after some time passes, so I'm sticking with tray (and my flip-top CD-ROM **new mod, almost done**). Now if only I could find a tray loader for my car.... damned loading mechanism again.

I'm sure it's all a matter of luck though.

One word of caution: DO NOT INSERT ANYTHING OTHER THAN STANDARD SIZED/SHAPED CD'S!!!

well ive already got a dvd drive, so im just looking for a little extra something. I certainly wont get any use out of some other drive type, such as zip or jazz. I don't know where to find any cool things such as LCD displays and such here where I live, and I am wary of purchasing anything online. So a CD writer seems like a good choise to me. Unless you guys have some other cool ideas.... I'm willing to try quite a bit, but i am a nub...
