| Ok, im just nosing around again and shopping/looking around, but can anyone tell me the advantages/disadvantages for using Sata drives? And whats Raid 0 and 1 or whatever. Its all confusing to me. If this has been asked before, i'm sorry. but i couldn't seem to find anything of the sort on the forums, so thanks in advance guys! | ||

| SATA/Serial ATA is 150MBPS dat transfer compared to ATA133 that is 133MBPS. Now days both types of drives are around the same price. Raid 0 gives you extra performance and Raid 1 is used for data parity because it copys all your files twice so if one drive dies you still have all your data on another drive. Raid 1 is slower performing though. In order to se any raid configuration you need at least two drives. If you are looking for the best performnace go with two SATA drives in Raid 0.
