| Hi, I am having some trouble with my firneds DELL Optiplex GX110. I tried to add some extra memory but it wasnt compatible. So I removed the 2nd stick and left the original in there. Now after shutting down the PC i get the blue screen below: _________________________________ *** Hardware Malfunction Call your hardware vendor for support NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error *** The system has halted *** _______________________________ How do i recitify this issue? | ||

| How big is the memory stick? I had a similar error with my GX200, but I have RAMBUS ![]() Parity errors are commonly associated with EDO 60ns 30 / 72 pin RAM, but the GX110 uses 168-pin SDRAM. Make sure it has a GX110 board, because all the Optiplexes use the same mounts for thier motherboards, i.e. you can put a GX200 board in a GXa which usually houses a Pentium 200MMX. The way to tell is the GX110's all have an Intel 815e chipset, the GX200 has the 820 and the previous models have the 440-series. I know this because my GX200 board sits in a GX110 case. Could you please specify the brand and size and type of memory? | ||
