Canon BJC-6000 error beeps

Does anyone know what is wrong with my Canon BJC-6000 when I try to print something, it makes the usual print head initialization process but then gives seven beeps. It had been working before and has fairly new cartridges.

If I remember correctly from when mine went bad it is not seeing the print cartridges. I could have gotten new cartridges but for what they cost I was well on the way to a new printer and I didn't know if that would fix it. I ended up buying a Canon i960 from Newegg. Excellent photo printing.

EDIT: By ink cartridges I mean the green things that hold the ink tanks, not the ink tanks themselves.

EDIT2:Just found this on canons web site:
7 Beeps - The BJ cartridge may be defective
Remove both BJ cartridges and make sure the contacts on the cartridge and cartridge holder are clean. Make sure the orange protective tape has been removed from the print head and install the cartridge again. A damaged or worn out BJ cartridge may not be detected correctly. You may need to replace the BJ cartridge.

Thanks for the help. It seems the problem disappeared this morning when I powered up and rebooted my system. Might have been a Windows system undetected problem or one of my grandkids tried to print the entire contents of the Internet.
