Motorola Surfboard.
I loved it when i had Cable. Sent the cable company's modem back with no regrets.
Wish they had cable out this far.

I just got cable and am using the same Motorola surfboard...so far so good, read the reviews at newegg.com.
It's the one Comcast approves and uses in my area

wow seems motorola have got it right for once - their 56k modems were the greesy slime mark of the dial up world (for me anyway). I have dinamode usb and PCI dsl's, 1 i hope to sell and the other to keep (usb more than likely). Thing is i cant use it till september.

The FREE ONE that the cable company brings out when you get the service.....why buy the modem ? Send me 200 bucks I got a few modems here.....

I use a Linksys cuz I also have a linksys router and hub, I havent had any problems, AND I bought that one cuz I didnt want to pay every month to rent one from the cable company, I wish they gave me a free one.Linksys is about $70.00

I got a toshiba and it is great. I don't know if the modem has anything to do with it but my home cable is better then my T1 at work, even when there is no one on the T1.

Uh, I don't think so. T1 and cable download speeds are about the same, for my cable and my dad's business's T1, but T1's have much better upload speed.
