Default PSU Help please

I just sleeved my PSU but i screwed up one of the molex dooh daahs, the other ones fine... I mixed up the two black cables in the centre because I must have marked them out wrong.... luckaly i plugged it into my DVD drive and not my hard drives (i know i should have tested it on an old fan or something).. i swapped them back over but now when i test them on fans the fans run half speed and the lights are "half on". Rather than buy a new PSU could i simply daisy chain them on the other molex dooh daah?

Yeah, you could just add a splitter to one of the working molex connectors.

the splitters will look un neat IMO, if i just cut off the pre sleeved, non working one could i just attach it to one of the working ones? i'll test it on a fan this time

also how would i go about this, soldering be a good idea?

Yeah, soldering would work. I'm thinking that either the wire is damaged, or the connector itself is damaged.

i would personnally think it is something within the PSU, i guess i will find out 2moro. I crapped my pants today, i forgot to plug in my processor fan, switched off my PC, switched it back on and even the bios wouldn't load, my heart missed a couple beats, i accidentally touch my HS and it almost burnt me, luckaly it was just a safety feature on my BIOS so it wouldn't allow my CPU to go past a certain point.

???

The black wires in 5.25"/3.5" devices all go back to the same point on the PSU PCB - I don't see how mixing them up can possibly cause the symptoms you're describing.

More likely, you've mixed up the 12v and 5v lines (so the fan & lights are getting 5v, not 12) ...

- or -

you've mixed up the black wires & the red 5v line, so your devices are getting 7v instead of 12 (12-5=7) ... that would be my diagnosis anyway

Black wires are the negative's and red and yellow postive. Just make it look like the other molex connectors.
