Yes yes completely agree! Download.com is also quite handy - so long as your data recoverd form the dead drive doesnt ask you to pay $7.99 or it expires in 30 days of you finding it .You efforts brand you quite the uber noob on this - windows file managment is the most horible thing ever - if it cant read a partition, it will say the disk is blank by default - that doesnt mean there isnt anything on there. Considering you say you "put it aside and decided to falsh the bios", Im seeing you took it out of the system? What did you put it on or in? pure copper sheeting or antistatic pakaging? Did you drop it? Did you touch/lick the PCB on the reverse side to see what it felt or tasted like ?All these will eventually make you click in your mind that its a gonner - at least the data on there is - the freezer bag isnt going to help this time either. I recomend you forget what you had on there and repartition and format the thing, or buy a new one if it wont - hey its what backups are for! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
