Default Hd WENT nuts !!!

Yesterday my HD went nuts....
I turned the comp worked well fine with the hd when suddenally it stopped working, the power still on but the file system deleted i mean there is no FAT no NTFS no nothing...
luckally it was my Secondary Drive...

but still Windows Xp ran a scandisk and found errors. writing something bout critical master file table ( MFT)
File record segment 4...59 is unrealable...

and it can't fix it tried file recovery and all that other ****ty progs.. nothing helps i know the info is still there bcz i have formatted ,defragged the drive so the file wont move.

when i try accessing to drive it says it must be formatted obviously it's bcz there is no Fat/NTFS file system on it ... btw the drive was NTFS file system and norton anti virus 2004 + latest virus def' , always running on the backround so it's hard for me to belive it's a virus work ...

is the drive dead and must be formmatted or can i save my info some how what i should do ?? any help will be must appriciated ... 10x

When you say yesterday, are you meaning before you flashed your bios, or after your overclock attempts?

Date recovery companies will do that, but charge a few bills. And by a few, I mean a lot.

Wow, I found this sweet thing online called Google. And when I typed in "data recovery software", it gave me tons of links. This site is so 1337!

Have you tried hooking the drive up as a slave yet?
Your explanations of your problems and what you have tried arent very clear to me.

Yes yes completely agree! Download.com is also quite handy - so long as your data recoverd form the dead drive doesnt ask you to pay $7.99 or it expires in 30 days of you finding it .

You efforts brand you quite the uber noob on this - windows file managment is the most horible thing ever - if it cant read a partition, it will say the disk is blank by default - that doesnt mean there isnt anything on there.

Considering you say you "put it aside and decided to falsh the bios", Im seeing you took it out of the system? What did you put it on or in? pure copper sheeting or antistatic pakaging? Did you drop it? Did you touch/lick the PCB on the reverse side to see what it felt or tasted like ?

All these will eventually make you click in your mind that its a gonner - at least the data on there is - the freezer bag isnt going to help this time either. I recomend you forget what you had on there and repartition and format the thing, or buy a new one if it wont - hey its what backups are for!
