Default Memory Test

I turned on my computer and my computer always says Power on Self Test Completed now booting from operating system. Well right before that it said Memory Test failed. What does this mean? My comp runs fine im on it right now and i can play games. Im just wondering why it said this.

Comp specs

Could be a few things, check to make sure your memory is seated properly first.

Run a program called MEMTEST and see if you get any errors.

Then try the modules in different slots, and see what happens. Then if all else fails try one stick at a time.

Has it always done this, or just recently?

Have you made any major changes lately to the hardware or software?

Have you got the Original Bios, or have you updated it recently?

My A7n8x deluxe does that all the time but my computer works fine. My friend has the same problem and his works fine. I just turn the voice thing off.

this is a wee bit , but i considering relative - ive been trying to find the DOS based MEMTEST for donkeys years now - ive seen it work in many a back room of a computer repair shops, but have never secured a copy for my own use. - does anyone have it? coz it does the job no end, and gives you a decent yes or no to wether your memory is working or not.

do you have it over clocked? or do you have the timmings set "out of spec" like 2-2-2-11 or anything like that? when i have my A7N8X -Dlx Rev 1.4 it did that when i went from 2-3-3-6 to 2-2-2-5, just an idea to throw to you....
