Noob without a clue!!! Neep Pimp Advice!

Hey i know basically nothing about SATA RAID.. can anyone help me figure it out. I know that there are different levels, 0 1 3 5 and 01. But i really know nothing. Can i run SATA RAID and my IDE cables for another Hard Drive, and My CD roms? My board is the Abit NF7-S. I know my board is compatible with SATA RAID but i dont know how to use it!! LOL

Sure you can. You can run a raid on the SATA headers if you have two drives. Or you can just run a single SATA drive if you want. You'll need to select it as the boot device in the BIOS if you want to run SATA as your boot drive. The IDE will work just like it does on any other board.

You might want to start by reading your manual.

and add a swiss cake roll to the disk drive....makes it work better....LOL Nice choice on the mobo though!!

well welcome to the SATA move, ull find it quite decent belive me. Im trying it out on builds im doing, but havent quite got to putting it my rig.
