Default How to identify an unknown PSU?

i have an unknown ATX power supply. it is made by King Yes International Co., LTD. the mark on the chart is like half in 400watts and half in 320watts. how can i verify what it is?

If it has one use the FCC ID number at the FCCs website - will give you alot of information...hopefully what your looking for.

I'd assume it's 320 but being of the crappy variety it's probably not really that high.

If it has a serial number, it's likely the actual wattage is part of it. Something like 0295400-X82.

How do you identify a generic PSU? You throw it off a cliff, and then you can idenify it as fill(Phil), or throw it in the ocean and call it Bob.

DMM = digital multi-meter

I wouldn't know how to use one to determine wattage for a PSU.

Use this calculator using the amperage and the voltage for each line.

Then add them together and you will have the total theoretical wattage for the PSU
