| Recently, my PS2 keyboard had stopped working. At first I thought it was just a bad keyboard so I replaced it. When starting the computer, I got an error saying keystuck failure and a constant beep that would not stop. I then plugged the KB into a Belkin PS2 to USB adaptor. This fixed the problem of not being able to get into Windows, but now I can't get into BIOS. I know in BIOS there's an "enable USB," but now that PS2 doesn't work, i don't know if there is any other way for me to fix this problem. anybody have any ideas? or is it time for me to finally buy a motherboard worth having? | ||

| Looks like the PS2 port on you motherboard is shot. 3 solutions come to mind. a) replace the motherboard b) leave the keyboard plugged into the USB port and forget that you even have BIOS c) remove the CMOS battery to reset the settings and hope that USB keyboard support is enabled by default. I would not bet my head on it, though (I honestly do not remember), so you might wanna check with somebody else first. Or just get another PS2 keyboard (borrow one, or something) and see if that works. I'd start there. Last edited by unholy; 05-May-04 at 12:05 PM.. Reason: spelling | ||
