game pad (joystick)

sorry if this is a dumb question but...
If I had a joystick hooked up to my comp could I use it for games in the arcade?
I just am not very good using the keyboard, and it would be great to play tetris with a joystick again.

if you have a joystick / software that lets you bind keystrokes to your joystick buttons, then yes, easy, if not, yer sh!t out of luck...

The software you are looking for would be called joymouse. HERE It might take some setting up to get it to do waht you want. I use it for m,y wireless joypad so i can change dvds and music from bed or the living room.
