Default any ideas

I have an RCA RS 2620 5 disc bookshelf and recently the disc tray will not open, and the stereo will not recognize that discs are in it. Ive checked RCA's site for help and struck out, then I looked for repair manuals still no luck.
It's probaly the motor that opens the disc tray and rotates the disc but when possible I like to use a repair manual
instead of just poking around, so anyone who may know where to obtain a repair manual would be thanked greatly.

Hmmn ... got the userguide from here: Diplodocs - User manual RCA RS2620 & User guide RCA RS2620 - English but you're probably not looking for that ...

Can't find a maintenance manual online. RCA might restrict those publications for just their authorized dealers, or even better, might have standardized parts inside that have their own maintenance manuals, so they don't have to publish one themselves.

thanks for the feedback, I was just fishing for an better way to fix my problem. I have another 5disc carosel changer
similar to the rca but its a real cheapo generic with zero sound quality. I think I'm going to gut the crappy one and swap the motors out. Worst case scenerio the generic one is scrapped for nothing.

Good luck with that, and let us know how it goes.

At the very least, you've got an interesting possible case for a new computer ...
