Default USB Problem??

Recently i've been experiencing a problem with my usb mouse. It'll like freeze up for about a second and make the noise has if you would plug in a usb device. This happens every so often i'll be surfing the web, or just opening a program. I've tried to switch the mouse into a different usb port, but the problem occurs still. Could this be a problem with the onboard usb's? I don't have any other mice to test to see if thats the case.

Have you got any other USB devices to test? Printer, KB, etc? If they're showing a similar problem then you can probably blame your mobo, but all things being equal, it's probably the mouse ... is it a wired one? Could be an intermittent break in the cable.

Second that advice. Likelihood is higher that you've got a problem with a short in the mouse than that you've got a problem with the connection on the mobo (moving parts fail more than non-moving parts, all things being equal).
