| I reviving a 386 [The Dethstar] so Lil Squirrel can run some ancient games that just won't behave under XP. No PS/2 ports on this battleship so I stuck a PS/2-to-serial adapter on a plain ol Dell mousie. Don't work. Hooked an old serial Microsoft EasyBall to the port and it works. Dell Mouse works. So adapter doesn't work??? Is there some mystical incantation [probably in the autoexec] that I've forgotten? -MF | ||

| I think I ran into this back in the day. I believe you had to get a mouse that worked both ways and that not just any ps2 mouse will work with the adapter. I may still have a serial mouse buried somewhere if you need it but it'll take some digging to get it out. Let me know. | ||
