Default AAK still bad? seagate 7200.10

OK
so i got a 320 gb 7200.10 HDD from newegg today (well it came in today)
16m cache, sata II all that..

has the AAK firmware version of these drives been fixed?

right after i ordered it i started noticing online that if it came with AAK firmware i may as well have ordered a brick. i ordered a seagate drive after noticing that my sata 1.5 seagate was cooler and faster than my WD sata 3.0.

i ordered this drive to be my new operating system drive.

should i keep it? i mean, it may be faster than my sata 1.5 drive but i still didn't get what i paid for (if that makes sense)

what do you guys think?

*just read where a 500 gb drive could be updated to AAM.. but that firmware was apparently only for the 500 gb.. im not completely sure tho..

I have 5x500GB drives at 7200.10, they all seem to be working just peachy in the RAID 5 Array they are in.

i installed it last night, and put windows xp pro on it.. hell im still updating windows lol..

but.. when i run hd tune i get the same results as everyone else..

i am kinda being fooled by the fact that its the fastest drive ive had yet.. but still.

Seagate's AAK-firmware

they have aam firmware out for the 500 gb model, and are apperently testing it..
id love to get it for my 320..
if i had got a 500 gb model id have installed the new firmware already and id be straight ..
