Ok guys i have a question. Which Ram shoud i get the Golden Dragon Geil PC3200 DDR 1gb

Or the Geil 1gb PC3200 with Blue Heat spreaders

I am thinking that the golden dragon is just cooler looking and has a led activity light.

Heat spreaders do not do any thing for the ram. They are a waste of money.
I heard golden dragon doesnt overclock well. If you want to oc, go with corsair or other stuff.

I am sounding like a broken record.....XMS 3500. there is no other, with AMD it will run at least 460 on intel 280 with a 5:4 divider. and timmings tight as you want on both platforms.

You have to find the NS rating to make a good comparison of ram chips, and/or read a bunch of reviews and make your best judgement.
I have used the Geil DDR500 Platinum, and I am very happy with it

I have the geil dragon pc3200 ram(2x256)runnin it dual channel at 400 fsb async with the proc and its works just fine. The dragon ram should run cooler then the one with the heat spreaders from what geil says but ram doesnt get that hot so you shouldnt have to worry...for the price tho...the geil dragon is a very nice choice...I got mine from neweeg awhile back for about 110 with shipping so you cant beat that.

if you look at the timings on the newegg website, you will see that while the golden dragon costs more, it actually has worse timings. I made the same decision and chose the normal kind w/ blue heatspreaders
