| The Who? Hoe  |  Sell the pc2700. 512MB is plenty for most people unless you are heavy into graphic-creation software and such. Besides the 3200 will overclock better so it will allow your system better performance as a whole. P.S.--Why would you waste your money buying something with the possible intent of just reselling it...probably for less than you bought it for? I don't understand your reasoning. If you really cared what we had to say you would have asked before you bought...or were you just looking for a pat on the back?  EDIT---There are also instances where more ram will decrease system performance, but most are limited to those with a Windows 95/98 OS. | |

If you ran a PC business like I do you would know I have everything on an inventory list, so no I don't just find two-hundred bucks* worth of ram laying around.  * = Generalized price of 1GB PC2700 corsair ram taken over a 6 month average based on the peaks and dips of ddr costs. Due to unknown variables including but not limited to mot19's unknown ram brand type and memory timings, the price he paid for his ram is unknown, therefore TekkPC takes no responsibility in the price accuracy in the message before this fine print. | Apex Tech God  | Im sorry if my awriting is bad but you can understand me im sure. Anyway heres the deal, I bought some pc3200 memory 512 of it and then i looked at my dell and it supports it but it has 1 gig of pc2700 in it. So i was wondering to myself which would be better the 512 of pc3200, or the 1 gig of pc2700? I will either sell or put the left over memory in my dell. Ok was that clearer? | |

| Apex Advanced Techie  | u mean more clear? mot i feel ur pain, i posted a thread like this once and got heckled about pour side stories and getting off track, i had a gig of pc2700 and changed to a 512 pc3200 for the gaming reason, i think the 512 pc3200 is better. but that's just me  | |
