it is about that time to get one so i can post my pics. what is a good brand or good things to look for (mega pixels, etc.)? what is an average cheap price? and any other information that u think would be helpful. thnx in advance

It all depends on your preference of the looks and features. I would reccomend either Kodak or Canon. Go for at least a 2Megapixel, don't go under. A 2Megapixel will be good enough if you don't need pictures the size of your monitor printed off. Make sure you're spending under $200 for one, if you go the eBay way, then make sure you're not spending over $170 or you're getting ripped off. I bought my Kodak CX4230 off of ebay WITH dock for $202 a long time ago and it has served me well.

just about 150 -200 is a good range, maybe less, i just want to take pics at x-mas and of family and different things, so mainly close-ups.

my fujifilm 2.0 has served me very well...so well I went and got the 3.2 mega pixle one.

I've had a Canon A20 for about 2 years now and it's done very well. They don't make that one anymore but they do have similar models.

I have the Sony DSC 9-9 I love it but its like 5 or 6 bills.
Cannon has some good ones for 2 bills also look here.

If I was going to buy a digi-cam right now, I'd splurge on a Canon Powershot Digital Elph S400, which is a shade under $400 at www.newegg.com. That, however, may be too much camera for what you need, so I'd check out some of Canon's cheaper offerings.

go for a Cannon powershot digital elph for general use. its just alot easier to use a S230 than my nikon 4500 for internet crap. so go for a S400

The pictures that I have posted lately are from the cheapest Kodak from the most irreputable deal around.
