| Sure. You'd be surprised how much customer service can give away. Our company doesn't advertise a phenomenal amount...hardly at all, but we are number one in our market. Good customer service. We give away something that costs us 50 bucks to make, and cost the consumer 200 at the store, we just got 200 bucks of advertising, and more, because they'll tell their friends and so on. | ||

| Direct Cool Hoe | I've delt with newegg on an RMA for my first EPoX mobo, and the day they got it, which was after the 30days, They sent out a brand new board with all the retail trimmings that I didn't include when I sent it in. The RMA dood will run you through some checks via E-mail, then he'll give you a RMA# . Send in your stuff and they'll replace it. I'd try to handle it by E-mail too. That way you can have time to think about what there asking of you and the time to think about what your reply will be and get help if you need to. The customer is why they're in business and they want you to be happy. The thing about changing your selection is they'll charge you a re-stocking fee. If you still decide to CPU swap, PM me I might have a solution for you ![]() Last edited by ZENNZZO; 27-July-03 at 10:33 PM.. | |

We sell Bushnell binoculars, riflescopes, telescopes, spotting scopes, nightvision scopes, radar guns, laser rangefinders, and couple other things. We also sell Bausch and Lomb Binos, riflescopes, spotting scopes, and telescopes. We also own Bolle Sunglasses, and Serengeti sunglasses. | ||

| Boosh, did you buy the PIB (Processor in a Box)? If so, it comes with a 3 year warranty with AMD...you can RMA it with them...(you have to have the AMD CPU fan though) Even if you bought the OEM processor, I believe it still comes with a 30-day warranty...at least you can get you a new processor...just not an Intel one... | ||

| sorry...what I meant was did you buy the AMD processor that comes with the Heatsink? If so then AMD will RMA it for you ... you don't have to have the original box, but you DO have to have the original heatsink/fan that came with the processor (the serial number is on it) | ||

| Did she throw away the heatsink? You don;t need the box or the warranty card to RMA it...go here: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/...7_2139,00.html and here for FAQ's on AMD Warranties: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/...7_1034,00.html Call AMD Here: (408) 749-AMD9 for information on RMA'ing your processor...you need the following information: 1.Your name, address, and telephone number; 2.Your proof of purchase (including place and date of product purchase). You will be asked to fax or e-mail this verification to AMD; 3.Description of the type of processor you have (AMD-K6©-2 Processor, AMD-K6©-III Processor, AMD Athlon™ Processor, or AMD Duron™ Processor); 4. Confirmation that the product about which you are inquiring is a retail Processor in a Box (with heatsink and fan attached), and not a non-boxed product (processor only). 5. The serial number located on the fan or a description of the computer system including the brand and model; and 6. an explanation of the problem. Good luck...no original box required... ![]() | ||
